1. Introduction

DashBro ("we", "our", or "the App") is a phone dashboard app for any car, published by Thirty Two Tech, Inc.

DashBro works entirely from your phone: its GPS, the Music app's now-playing information, and places you share in from a maps app. It does not connect to your car, and it does not require an account.

This policy explains what the App uses, why, and where that information goes.

2. Information the App Uses

Depending on the features you use, DashBro may use:

  • Your device's location, to show speed, position, route and speed camera alerts
  • Destinations you share into the App from Google Maps, Apple Maps or another app
  • The song currently playing (title, artist, artwork and playback position), to show the music panel and lyrics
  • Microphone audio, only if you turn on song recognition
  • Trip history and App settings, stored on your device

3. Location

Location is processed on your device to show your speed, position, route and speed camera alerts. We do not receive or store your location on our servers.

While a drive is shown in Picture in Picture or in the Dynamic Island (Live Activity), DashBro continues to use your location in the background until the drive ends, so that speed and arrival time stay up to date.

To calculate routes, show maps and show the weather, the App uses Apple MapKit, Apple WeatherKit and the Google Maps SDK (map tiles). These services receive the location or area needed to answer each request, under their own privacy policies.

4. Music and Lyrics

With your permission, DashBro reads what is playing in Apple Music to show artwork, playback controls and lyrics. This information stays on your device.

To find synced lyrics, the App sends only the song title and artist to the lyrics database you choose in settings (for example, LRCLIB). No other information is sent with the request.

5. Microphone and Song Recognition

DashBro uses the microphone only if you turn on song recognition. Audio is matched using Apple ShazamKit and is not recorded or stored by DashBro.

If you never turn on song recognition, the App does not ask for microphone access.

6. Speed Camera Data

Speed camera locations (based on Taiwan government open data) are downloaded from our server. This download does not include any information about you, your location or your drives.

7. Trip History and Data Storage

Trip history, settings and preferences are stored only on your device. We do not operate any server that stores your trips.

When you create a share card at the end of a drive, it is shared only where you choose to share it.

8. No Accounts, Analytics, Ads or Tracking

  • DashBro has no accounts or logins
  • DashBro contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs
  • DashBro does not track you across apps or websites
  • We do not sell your data

DashBro is currently free and has no in-app purchases.

9. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own terms and privacy policy:

  • Apple MapKit, for routing and maps
  • Apple WeatherKit, for the weather shown on the dashboard
  • Google Maps SDK, for map tiles
  • Apple ShazamKit, for song recognition (only if you turn it on)
  • The lyrics database you choose, such as LRCLIB

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Data stored on your device remains there until you remove the App, or delete it in the App where that option is available.

Third-party services may retain request data under their own retention policies.

11. Your Rights and Choices

You can allow or revoke location, Apple Music and microphone access at any time in the iPhone Settings app. Some features will not work without location access.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because DashBro does not send your personal data to our servers, most such requests can be fulfilled by removing the App from your device. If you contact us, we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

12. Children

DashBro is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information associated with DashBro. However, no system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new date.

Your continued use of DashBro after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
